How we source data
Air-quality numbers come live from the EPA AirNow public feed, which aggregates TCEQ continuous monitoring stations across Harris County and the Ship Channel. Incident records are drawn from public TCEQ Air Emission Event Reports, EPA filings, OSHA enforcement records, and U.S. Coast Guard pollution reports. News coverage is aggregated from verified outlets via Google News.
Editorial principles
- Independence. Deer Park Report is not affiliated with Pemex, Petróleos Mexicanos, or any of its subsidiaries, contractors, or partners. We have no editorial relationship with the operator.
- Public-record sourcing. Every incident on this site can be cross-checked through the regulatory agency cited.
- Plain language. We try to explain technical refinery and air-quality concepts in language a Deer Park resident can follow without a chemistry degree — including a dedicated kids' page.
- Corrections. If you spot a factual error, please tell us. We will correct and date-stamp the change.
